PRAISE AND HOPE

This year, Clavecin en concert presents three Bach cantatas as part of their complete performance at Salle Bourgie. Cantata BWV 28 (“Praise God! Now the year comes to an end”) joyfully asks God to watch over us during the new year, as He has done throughout the year that is coming to an end; BWV 137 (“Praise the Lord, the mighty King of honour”) is a powerful song of thanksgiving; and BWV 149 (“One sings with joy about victory”) praises the strength of God and His angels, who confidently guide us.
